Douglas P. Chimenti (Partner)

Doug Chimenti has been practicing bankruptcy law for more than 22 years, helping individuals and families throughout Southeast Michigan get relief from overwhelming debt. His practice is focused exclusively on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy, with an emphasis on clear guidance, practical solutions, and personal attention.

Doug regularly represents clients in Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, assisting clients whose homes are in foreclosure and need time to catch up on mortgage payments, car loans, taxes, or other secured debts while protecting their home and assets.  He also has extensive experience handling Chapter 7 cases, helping eliminate credit card debt, medical bills, and other unsecured obligations so they can move forward with a clean financial slate.

Clients appreciate Doug’s straightforward, plain-English approach. He takes the time to explain how bankruptcy works, what to expect at each stage of the process, and which option—Chapter 7 or Chapter 13—makes the most sense for their specific situation. His goal is to make a stressful process feel manageable and informed, not overwhelming.

Doug earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2000 from Wayne State University and his law degree from Wayne State University Law School in 2004. He has been licensed to practice law for over two decades, is admitted to practice before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and regularly appears on behalf of clients throughout the region.

Outside of his legal practice, Doug is committed to his community as a volunteer high school football coach and a volunteer travel baseball coach, mentoring young athletes both on and off the field.

If you’re facing financial pressure and need clear answers from an experienced bankruptcy attorney, Doug brings decades of hands-on experience and a calm, practical approach clients can trust.

Nicholas R. Glaeser (Partner)

Bio

With over 14 years of legal experience, Nick Glaeser is dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most challenging financial and personal situations. His practice focuses on Social Security Disability, bankruptcy, debt settlement, and landlord–tenant law. He works closely with clients to develop practical, results-driven strategies designed to protect their rights, restore stability, and create a path forward.

He earned my Bachelor’s degree in Public Law from Western Michigan University, where he developed a strong foundation in governmental systems and legal principles. He went on to receive a Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law, equipping him with the advocacy skills and legal knowledge that he brings to every case.

Throughout his career, Nick has represented clients in matters ranging from securing Social Security Disability benefits and obtaining bankruptcy relief to negotiating debt settlements and resolving complex landlord–tenant disputes. He understands that legal problems often come with significant stress and uncertainty. His goal is to provide clear guidance, responsive communication, and strong advocacy every step of the way.

Outside of my practice, Nick is a devoted husband and father of two daughters. Family is at the center of his life, and that perspective shapes the way he approaches work — with compassion, integrity, and a deep commitment to helping clients protect what matters most.
